Contractor yard units
Standard units and a handwash station at a laydown yard or office compound next to a base. Because crews come and go from the base site and the yard, the count follows peak headcount at the yard.

Joint Base San Antonio runs its own events and construction through the installation, so work inside the gate follows base contracting and access rules, not an ordinary rental. Portable toilets here serve the off-base side: contractor yards, nearby builds, hotel and graduation-week crowds on public streets. San Antonio Porta Potty Rental connects you with an independent provider.
Joint Base San Antonio is not one place but a set of installations spread across the city: Fort Sam Houston on the north-east side, Lackland on the south-west side where Air Force basic training happens, and Randolph in Universal City. The joint base covers more than 35,000 acres. Each runs its own gate, its own visitor rules and its own contracting.
That shapes what a portable toilet call can and cannot do. Work and events inside the gate are arranged through the installation, and nothing on this site suggests that a rental company serves inside the fence. What a rental call can do is support the civilian side of the base economy: the contractor with a yard or a build just outside the wall, the neighbouring streets that fill during graduation week, and the lots near the gates.
San Antonio Porta Potty Rental is a call line that connects you with an independent local provider. The provider delivers, services and removes units on land where it is allowed, which means land outside the base unless the installation says otherwise. Tell the provider where the site is, who controls the land and what the base requires. No delivery time or access is promised on the call.
Do not drive a service vehicle or place units on or near a base gate, a security lane or a fire access without permission. Follow the instructions of base security and the provider. Do not photograph restricted areas while setting up.
Is the site inside the base, on a contractor's leased yard or on city or private land outside? Only the last two are an ordinary rental. Anything inside the gate goes through the installation.
If the truck must enter a base, ask the installation or the prime contractor what is required. Do not assume the provider can enter. This site cannot state base access rules.
For a contractor site, use peak headcount. For a graduation-week event, estimate visitors and hours, and ask the hotel or organizer what units, if any, are expected.
A handwash station beside the toilets covers the federal rule on job sites, and an accessible unit suits a public event.
Long contracts need a standing schedule. Ask the provider how often units will be serviced, and how a delayed or restricted gate affects it.
Rentals near bases are priced like other job-site and event rentals, with the difference in access and in the chance of delay at a gate.
| Job | Typical range | What it includes |
|---|---|---|
| Number and type of units | Quoted per unit | Standard, accessible and handwash are separate lines |
| Term | Per week or per month | Contracts run for months |
| Servicing frequency | Depends on visits | Heat and crew size set it |
| Delivery with access checks | Ask the provider | A gate or a clearance step can add time |
| Event-week delivery | Ask the provider | Busy weeks and weekends may carry a charge |
No price list is published here. A local provider confirms the quote in writing before delivery.
This site does not suggest that it can. Events and construction inside a base are arranged through the installation and its contracting rules. Do not assume a provider may enter. If you work for the base or a prime contractor, ask them what is required. Off-base land is an ordinary rental.
Each installation sets its own rules for who may enter, with what and when. Those rules change and this site does not describe them. If your work is inside a gate, the contracting officer or the prime contractor is the right first call.
For work next to a base, such as a yard on a leased lot, an ordinary rental is possible. Tell the provider the site is near a base so it can plan the route.
Graduations at Lackland are held on Thursdays. A base safety note puts 3,000 to 5,000 visitors on the base each week for graduation events, and a 2021 report gave ceremonies as 3,000 to 4,000. Guest rules from 2021 are out of date. The base arranges its own sanitation, so off-base demand is in nearby streets and hotels.
Families travel to San Antonio for these ceremonies and spend much of the day around the base. Hotels, restaurants and public lots nearby see the demand, not the base itself.
An event organizer who plans a gathering for families, a community breakfast or a hospitality tent near a gate should ask the base and the local authority about what is allowed, then call about units.
Fort Sam Houston and Lackland are in the listed areas, and Randolph lies in Universal City. Coordinates for Fort Sam Houston and Lackland on this site are approximate. The listing covers the surrounding area, and not the installation itself. Ask the provider about any site close to a gate.
The area pages for Fort Sam Houston, Lackland Air Force Base and Universal City describe the neighbourhoods around each base. Randolph was dedicated on 20 June 1930 and is next to Universal City.
Fort Sam Houston's Quadrangle was begun in 1876 and is a historic centrepiece of the post. These are background facts, not claims about rentals.
It turns an event rental into a term hire with a standing schedule. Units stay for months, servicing is fixed in the quote, and access may need clearance. Ask the provider how it handles delays at a gate, a change in crew size or a pause in the work.
See the long-term rental page for how term hire is quoted, and the construction site page for how units are counted.
That depends on the contract, the installation and the prime contractor, and this site cannot list them. Ask the prime contractor or the contracting office what a vendor must provide, then ask the rental provider whether it can supply it. Gather requests early, since access steps can take time.
A contractor with a base contract usually receives an access and safety briefing that covers vendors. If a provider's truck must enter, that briefing may apply to the driver too.
For off-base yards, the requirements come from the property owner and the city, not the installation. Keep the two clearly separate when you speak to the provider.

A small bank in a hotel lot, church lot or community space during a graduation week or a ceremony, for visitors who spend hours away from the base. Permission comes from whoever controls the lot.
For a long contract with a site office, a restroom trailer on a firm pad. The prime contractor and the property owner decide whether it fits.
The bases give San Antonio a large civilian and contract workforce. Contractors work on housing, offices, training facilities and roads at and around the installations, and many keep yards on public or private land nearby. The off-base side is where an ordinary portable-toilet rental works.
Lackland sits on the south-west side and Fort Sam Houston on the north-east. They lie in different parts of the area, and a provider that serves one side may need extra travel to serve the other. Ask about the schedule when the site is a long way from the provider's yard.
Heat applies here as elsewhere. The first 100-degree day averages around 30 June, and a contractor yard on open ground, or a lot where families wait for a ceremony, is exposed. Plan servicing and handwashing for the summer.
Most military-area and contractor site restrooms calls are scheduled the same day when a technician is free, and you approve the price before any work starts.

Events inside a base are arranged through the installation, and this site does not describe those arrangements. Ask the base. For a related event off base, an ordinary rental applies.
If a truck must enter, the installation sets the rule, and the provider or the prime contractor handles it. This site does not state base access rules. Ask early.
Inside the base, the base arranges sanitation. Off-base lots and community events may use rentals with the lot owner's permission. Ask the owner.
The federal construction rule expects handwashing near toilets, so a freestanding station is the usual way to meet it on a site with no water line.
Universal City, beside Randolph, is a listed area. The installation itself is arranged through the base. Call with your site address and the provider says whether it serves it.
Tell the provider about the gate. It may schedule servicing at set times. Put any known delay in the quote, and name a contact on site.
